The Mission
Serving the greater Houston, Texas area, Lamplighter Photography exists to create photographs of you and your loved ones that you will be happy with and proud of, while giving to the community. Ten percent of all of Lamplighter's gross earnings are donated to carefully chosen charities and non-profit organizations.

Lamplighter Photography's online galleries are provided by Zenfolio. Your print orders from Lamplighter are fulfilled by MpixPro, a division of Miller's Professional Imaging. Miller's was founded in 1939, and is the largest professional photography lab in the United States. The company has production facilities in Pittsburg, Kansas and Columbia, Missouri.
The Photographer
My name is Philip Weller. I'm 38 years old, a husband, and “stay at home” father of three. I take photographs for fun, but I take them seriously.
I've been taking pictures since around age 12 when my sister gave me my first point and shoot camera. About a year later, my father bought me my first “real camera”. I thank them both. Hours and hours behind the lens, both in my time at the Art Institute of Houston and more recently as a member of Professional Photographers of America, have honed and broadened my skills. There are many reasons I love photography. If you asked me to pick just one I wouldn't be able to, so here are two:
- Photography is equal parts Art and Science.
- Photography lets me show someone something in a way that they might not have seen it before.
